When presented with significant assets, building on them is your best move. The owner and the design team knew they had something extraordinary to work with. The project was part preservation and part inspiration. Julie O’Brien Design Group restored the terrazzo floor with enhancements sensitive to the original design. The steel and marble table set was also custom-designed and fabricated for the space.

They spared the quirky but cool hand-painted wall tile. Brightened the existing porthole windows and, from storage, brought back the vintage ceiling fixture over the game table. The design team brought out the best with an eye on making the space useful and inviting for the family. The result is a timeless, priceless rebirth.
